JINK'S COMICS

From the beginning I pursue the field of comics, I always work alone. Cancer comics for example. I work in my dorm room when I went through periods of study at UGM Jogja. Likewise, when I returned to my hometown in Surabaya, I still made the comic even though there is no hope to be published, because comics Indonesia experienced a bleak time. I feel like no one else is interested in making comics besides me. In times of loneliness that I made Ngoh (the title originally was Gempar (Uproar)) and Suatu Ketika Dalam Hidup Gundala (Once Upon a Time In Life of Gundala).

My eyes began to open when I start to come into contact with the internet. Through the internet that I introduce comic Gundala that was quite a lot who are interested. And it is precisely through Gundala I became acquainted with Mr. Berny Julianto, Mr. Arieswendha, and other comic enthusiasts.

At that time I was dreaming of making comics in a place commonly called the studio along with other fellow artists.

But still, in the end I still work in solitude and silence because in general the artists making comics as a sideline. They already have a steady job that can not be abandoned for the sake of doing comics. I who had to leave my job in order to focus on making comics, in fact, have to re-select a job and make comics back into the side. Perhaps the situation would be different if the comics industry in Indonesia has been growing rapidly as in Japan or America.. Sad, but I have to be realistic.

But it's OK. Maybe it is not time for my dream comes true. Making comics in the silence remained favor, although my energy is no longer optimal as 5-10 years ago. My lust to make comics remain passionate, but my energy has been drained after working all day. Like a said, a big appetite less power. Inevitably, That is the reality I have to face.
